On January 20, 2019, 22-year-old Mark Alan Ash Jr. of Alexandria, Indiana, was fatally shot in Anderson. Born on May 8, 1996, in Elwood, Indiana, Mark spent most of his life in Alexandria. He graduated from Frankton High School in 2015, where he was active in football, basketball, baseball, and track and field.
