Drequan Burglar, a 21-year-old man from Chicago, was tragically killed on August 2, 2019, in Lafayette, Indiana. The incident occurred at the Romney Meadows Apartments, where Burglar was fatally shot behind Building 27. According to the Tippecanoe County Coroner, Donna Avolt, Burglar died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The shooting happened around 12:40 a.m., and despite paramedics' efforts to save him, Burglar was pronounced dead at Franciscan Health East hospital.
