In the quiet neighborhood of Roosevelt Avenue in New Albany, Indiana, the evening of April 14, 2020, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 37-year-old William Lewis Stephens. Officers from the New Albany Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of the street around 10 p.m. following reports of a possible shooting.
