On the early morning of Friday, June 26, 2020, police officers in Indianapolis, Indiana, were alerted to a violent incident unfolding on the city's east side. Just before 1:30 a.m., dispatch received reports of a person shot in the 2100 block of North Kenyon Street, located near the intersection of East 21st Street and North Arlington Avenue. Responding units arrived at the scene to discover a victim suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound.
