John Dale MaCurdy, a 73-year-old male, found his life brought to a tragic and violent end on Monday, September 21, 2020. In the quiet, rural setting of Bringhurst, Indiana, a passerby noticed smoke billowing from MaCurdy's residence and promptly alerted the authorities to a house fire. The reality of the situation, however, was far more sinister than a simple blaze. Responding emergency crews entered the burning home to discover the bodies of MaCurdy and another victim, Anna Downham.
