Vicshawn Butler, a 23-year-old man, was tragically killed in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. The incident was part of a string of violence that pushed the city toward a record number of homicides for the year.

The shooting occurred in the afternoon, and when officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Butler suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed ...
