On December 18, 2020, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at the residence of Jeffrey A. Marvin and his two daughters, Lexis M. Marvin, 18, and Haley N. Marvin, 15, on Spring River Drive in Elkhart, Indiana. The officer discovered all three family members deceased inside the home. Initial observations suggested that the girls had been murdered by gunshot, and Mr. Marvin had subsequently committed suicide.
