In the early morning hours of February 7, 2021, violence erupted at a business establishment on the far east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the Fuzion Lounge, located in the 9400 block of East Washington Street, shortly after midnight following reports of a shooting. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts attempted by medics, the individual had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the location.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office subsequently identified the victim as DeAndre Anderson Jr., a 31-year-old Black male resident of the city.
