In the winter of 2021, a grim discovery marked the first triple homicide in Muncie, Indiana, in decades. On February 19, the bodies of three men from Detroit, Michigan, were found shot to death inside an apartment at the Elgin Manor Apartments complex. One of these men was 25-year-old Devonte Earl Hollis. He, along with Adrian Demarlo George, Jr., age 30, and Terence Thomas, age 27, had succumbed to gunshot wounds in what police quickly identified as a targeted attack.
