Death by Force

On June 10, 2021, Taveyon Damier Colon, a 24-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in South Bend, Indiana. At approximately 2:15 a.m., South Bend Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1000 block of North Brookfield Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Taveyon Colon lying unresponsive in the front yard of a residence, having sustained apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
