On June 14, 2021, Kerry Wayne Freeberg, a 58-year-old resident of New Albany, Indiana, was found deceased near the Kentucky & Indiana Terminal Bridge in New Albany. The Floyd County Coroner's Office confirmed that Freeberg died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
