Angelica Casares, a 21-year-old woman from East Chicago, Indiana, was tragically killed on August 6, 2021. The incident occurred early in the morning when police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at a home on the 4000 block of Fern Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple bullet holes in the front window of the residence. Inside, they found Angelica Casares lying in a pool of blood, having been shot multiple times.
