Cristina Pina Aguilar, a 49-year-old resident of Elkhart, Indiana, was found dead in her home on September 5, 2021. The Elkhart Police Department responded to a welfare check at her residence on West Blaine Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Aguilar's body with apparent gunshot wounds. The Elkhart County Homicide Unit immediately took over the investigation, and a forensic autopsy confirmed that Aguilar died from gunshot wounds.
