Monica Vaught, a 49-year-old resident of Greenwood, Indiana, tragically lost her life on March 29, 2022. The circumstances surrounding her death were both complex and distressing. On the night of her death, Monica was pursued by Greenwood police officers after failing to pull over during a traffic stop. The pursuit began on South Madison Avenue and continued through the city’s downtown area. During the chase, Monica's vehicle struck a utility pole, but she continued to evade the officers.
