In the summer of 2025, a family was irrevocably shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 22-year-old Darion Phar. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the middle of the day, Phar was gunned down at an apartment complex on Tree View Drive in Stonecrest, Georgia. DeKalb County police officers responded to the scene to find the young man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
