On the evening of Tuesday, March 4, 2025, 24-year-old African American man Keon Smith was fatally shot at a Shell gas station located in the 2900 block of Panola Road in Stonecrest, Georgia. DeKalb County police responded to the scene around 7:10 p.m., where they discovered Keon Smith deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed his identity.
