In the early evening of Tuesday, March 4, 2025, a tragedy unfolded at a Shell gas station in Stonecrest, Georgia, that claimed the life of 24-year-old Keon Smith. An African American male, Smith was at the gas station located in the 2900 block of Panola Road when he was fatally shot.

DeKalb County police were dispatched to the scene around 7:10 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Keon Smith with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead ...
