In the summer of 2022, a wave of violence gripped the city of Gary, Indiana, and amidst this turmoil, 52-year-old Jose C. Diaz, a male, tragically lost his life. On the morning of July 5th, he was discovered outside in the 3800 block of Van Buren Street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Lake County Coroner's office was called to the scene and officially pronounced him dead at 10:34 a.m.
