Pedro Pineda, aged 56, tragically lost his life on July 17, 2022, in a mass shooting at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the mall's food court, where Pedro and his wife, Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, were having dinner. The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Jonathan Douglas Sapirman, opened fire, killing Pedro, Rosa, and another victim, Victor Gomez. The autopsies revealed that all three victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
