Virender Singh, a 38-year-old man from Greenwood, Indiana, was pulled into a night that began like a celebration and ended in gunfire. Late on January 10, 2026, a large birthday party was underway at a home in the Cherry Tree Walk neighborhood, in the 900 block of Bent Branch Circle, when an argument erupted and quickly turned volatile.
