Molly Franquemont, 37, was last seen on March 9, 2013, in Sunnyvale, California. She had moved in with her boyfriend, Glen Griggs, in January 2013 after being evicted from her apartment. Franquemont was initially reported missing in May 2013 by a relative, though she had not been heard from since March. Suspicion quickly fell on Griggs, especially after it was discovered that Molly had been fearful of him despite his claims that their relationship was fine. Griggs told investigators that Molly was working in Southern California and visited him weekly, but surveillance showed that this was untrue.
Authorities also connected Griggs to the deaths of three previous girlfriends, who all died under suspicious circumstances. These deaths were initially attributed to alcohol intoxication, but later investigations raised the possibility of foul play. In June 2014, when officers attempted to serve a search warrant in connection with Molly's case, Griggs confronted them with a BB gun and was fatally shot by police. Despite Griggs’ death, Molly’s body has never been found, and her case remains unsolved, though authorities presume her to be deceased.
