On August 26, 1973, the Nail family in Roanoke, Virginia, experienced an unimaginable tragedy that left the community in shock and grief. Among the victims was 1-year-old Kimberly Nail, whose life, so full of potential, was cut tragically short. The incident claimed the lives of five family members, including Kimberly’s siblings—10-year-old Charles Nail Jr., 8-year-old Michael Eugene Nail, and 5-year-old Pamela Charlene Nail—and their mother, 29-year-old Sharol Juanita Crotts Nail.
