Death by Force

Regional Administrator Rodolfo Felix Guillen, Jr., aged 43, was tragically shot and killed on June 14, 1982, in Suffolk, Virginia. Guillen, who served with the Virginia Department of Corrections, was attacked in his office at the Department's Regional Office. The incident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. when Guillen arrived at his workplace. The assailant shot him at least once in his office and then multiple times in the hallway, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
