Douglas McArthur Buchanan Sr., aged 43, was tragically murdered on September 15, 1987, in Naola, Virginia. The incident was a result of a violent family dispute that escalated into a horrific crime. Buchanan Sr. was killed by his son, Douglas McArthur Buchanan Jr., who also murdered his stepmother, Geraldine Patterson Buchanan, and his two stepbrothers, Donald and Joel Jerry, aged 10 and 13, respectively.
