On March 22, 2023, 16-year-old Maurio Deshoun Williams Jr., a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot in Millbrook, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Highway 14, where Millbrook police responded to reports of shots fired into a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle parked near a business, disabled and struck multiple times by bullets. Inside, they discovered Williams, who was unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene.
