David Lee Knobling, a 20-year-old from Isle of Wight, Virginia, was tragically found dead on September 23, 1987, at the Ragged Island Wildlife Refuge. His body, along with that of 14-year-old Robin Margaret Edwards, was discovered by a beachcomber. Both victims had been shot to death, and their bodies were found partially submerged in water. The two had last been seen alive on September 19, 1987, and were reported missing on September 21, 1987.
