In the spring of 2005, the life of 39-year-old former NFL player Michael A. 'Mike' Brim came to a violent and tragic end in Richmond, Virginia. The male athlete, who had once played cornerback for several professional football teams, was fatally shot on April 19, 2005, during a confrontation with a man named Gary Miles. The dispute, which reportedly stemmed from an argument over a woman, escalated into a fatal shootout.
