On the evening of April 6, 2013, the life of John Jay Robles, a 46-year-old male from Mechanicsville, Virginia, was cut short. He was discovered deceased inside a construction site trailer at Lancer Park on the campus of Longwood University in Farmville. An investigation by the Virginia State Police and Longwood University Police revealed that Robles had been fatally shot. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
