John Andrew Gancarz, aged 46, tragically lost his life on August 30, 2013, in Virginia Beach, VA. The incident occurred in the Chimney Hill area, where police responded to reports of gunshots around 6:40 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Gancarz deceased at the scene. The investigation quickly identified Ernest Steven Croft, 57, as the primary suspect. Croft, who resided in Portsmouth, was charged with first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
