In the autumn of 2013, a tragic accident claimed the life of 12-year-old Dax Ian Dixon, a male, seventh-grade student from Madison, Virginia. On Saturday, October 26, 2013, while playing in the woods with a friend near his home in Madison County, Dax was accidentally shot. The incident involved a firearm that discharged unintentionally, leading to his fatal injury.
