Kristina Marie Padilla, a 21-year-old resident of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, tragically lost her life on September 18, 2014. Kristina was a member of the 2011 graduating class of Appalachia High School and worked as part of the communications team at Sykes in Wise, VA. Her untimely death was the result of a violent incident involving her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Wesley Tate.
