Corey Mattison, aged 37, tragically lost his life on January 15, 2015, in Ashburn, Virginia. The incident occurred when Minh Nguyen, the ex-husband of Corey’s wife Denise, broke into their home and shot Corey multiple times. Corey, despite being mortally wounded, managed to lead Nguyen away from his wife and children, demonstrating immense bravery in his final moments.
