In April of 2015, a quiet Saturday afternoon in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake, Virginia, was disrupted by a grim discovery. Just before 3 p.m., a concerned individual noticed a man inside a silver Mercedes parked at the Lake Village Apartments off Gilmerton Road and alerted the authorities. When police arrived, they found the body of 28-year-old Jamal Sampson, a resident of Hampton. He had been shot to death.
