One of those men was Marquis Benton, who was suffering from serious injuries.
Due to the severity of his wounds, Benton was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for further
treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The second man who was shot sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening; he was treated and subsequently released from the hospital.
