Marquis Benton, a 29-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2015, due to a shooting incident. On that fateful evening, emergency dispatchers received a call from Maryview Medical Center at approximately 5:47 p.m., notifying them that two men had arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
