On a winter evening in Hopewell, Virginia, the life of 18-year-old Jeramyah D. Pierce was tragically cut short. On Saturday, December 26, 2015, shots rang out in the 800 block of an unspecified street, forever altering the lives of those who knew and loved the young man. When police responded to the scene, they found Pierce suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
