Ashley Marie Guindon, a 28-year-old police officer, tragically lost her life on February 27, 2016, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Officer Guindon was killed in the line of duty during her first shift with the Prince William County Police Department. She was responding to a domestic violence call at the home of Army Staff Sgt. Ronald Hamilton. Upon arrival, Hamilton opened fire, fatally shooting Officer Guindon and wounding two other officers.
