In the autumn of 2016, the life of 41-year-old Larry Melvin Addair Jr. was cut short in a violent encounter in Bristol, Virginia. A male resident of the area, Addair was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that would lead to a young man facing serious criminal charges.
