JoAnn Bartholomew, a 47-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, was killed under tragic circumstances in October 1987. On October 21, 1987, JoAnn attended a church service but did not return home as expected. After her disappearance, her vehicle was found abandoned on October 22 at the Chapel Hill Mall in Akron. Following an extensive search, her body was discovered on October 24 in a wooded area near 1990 Buchholzer Boulevard, not far from where her car was left.
