In the winter of 2017, the life of 36-year-old Basheed I. Boatwright was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. On the evening of December 14th, he was discovered outside a home on Eureka Drive, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Boatwright succumbed to his injuries. This violent act was not an isolated incident but rather part of a troubling wave of violence in the area at the time.
