On the evening of October 17, 2015, 57-year-old Muhammed Abu-Bakr was shot and killed shortly after getting off a bus in Richmond, Virginia. Abu-Bakr had spent the day working two jobs, as he typically did, before making a stop at a Walmart on Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus.
