In the summer of 2018, the life of Cedric Bernard Gillum, a 30-year-old male from Salem, was tragically cut short in Northwest Roanoke, Virginia. On the evening of Sunday, July 29th, police responded to a call at the Embassy Inn on Melrose Avenue. There, they discovered Gillum suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, but sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. His death was the sixth homicide in the city of Roanoke that ye ...
