In a tragic series of events that unfolded in a McLean, Virginia apartment, 15-year-old Sharon Castro was fatally shot on August 5, 2018. The promising young female, known for her love of cheerleading and figure skating, succumbed to her injuries six days after the shooting. The perpetrator in this shocking act of violence was her own mother, Veronica Youngblood, who also took the life of her younger daughter, 5-year-old Brooklynn Youngblood.
