On the evening before Thanksgiving, a domestic dispute in a Woodbridge, Virginia, home escalated into a fatal shooting, leaving a husband dead. Tyrone Timothy Drake, a 54-year-old male, was shot and killed on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of Labourn Drive. According to Prince William County Police, an argument between Tyrone Drake and his wife, Rene Rachelle Drake, turned violent. During the altercation, a firearm was brandished, and Tyrone Drake sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.
When police officers arrived at the residence, they found Tyrone Drake deceased at the scene. His wife, who was 60 or 61 years old at the time, was taken into custody at the home without incident. A firearm was also recovered by the authorities.
Following the initial investigation, Rene Rachelle Drake was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She was subsequently held without bond.
