Ashley N. Bayne, a 31-year-old resident of Covington, Virginia, tragically lost her life on December 19, 2018, in New Castle, Virginia. The incident occurred outside the Craig Botetourt Electric Cooperative, where she was found deceased on the sidewalk around 8 a.m. The Virginia State Police and the Craig County Sheriff's Office responded to an active shooter call at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered Ashley's body and immediately broadcasted a description of the suspect vehicle.
