On the night of November 30, 2019, a tragic event unfolded at the K Food Store on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, Virginia, ending the life of a young store clerk. Ashraf Mahasees, a 23-year-old male, was working when he was fatally shot. The incident was reported to the police at approximately 11:05 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mahasees suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
