In the early evening of February 5, 2020, a verbal dispute inside a Richmond, Virginia, convenience store tragically escalated, ending the life of 27-year-old Leon T. Robinson. A Black male, Robinson was inside the 804 Market on Mechanicsville Turnpike when the altercation occurred. The argument ultimately led to Robinson being fatally shot.
Richmond Police responded to the scene and, upon their arrival, discovered Robinson suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries at the store. The investigation that followed pointed to an argument that had taken place prior to the shooting.
Within a few days of the incident, authorities made an arrest in connection with the homicide. Brian A. Robinson was taken into custody and subsequently faced charges of first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in Leon T. Robinson's death.
