Curtis Walton, a 33-year-old esteemed attorney from Portsmouth, Virginia, was tragically murdered on April 8, 2020. Walton was taking his routine evening walk near his home on Columbia Street when he was approached by two individuals who emerged from a black, four-door car. Despite having nothing on him but a phone, Walton attempted to flee but was fatally shot by the assailants. The murder occurred just steps from his childhood home, adding to the heartbreak for his family and community.
