Skyler Derrick Bryant, a 20-year-old resident of Bassett, Virginia, was found dead on June 2, 2020, in Henry County. Authorities discovered Bryant unresponsive in his vehicle on Erwin Street, just outside the city limits of Martinsville. The initial 911 call reported a vehicle crash, but upon arrival, deputies found Bryant with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
