In the summer of 2020, the life of 31-year-old Karla Elizabeth Dominguez Gonzalez was tragically cut short in Alexandria, Virginia. A native of Venezuela, Gonzalez was known for having competed in beauty pageants in her home country. Her death on July 29, 2020, marked the first homicide in Alexandria that year.
