Diane May Clyburn, aged 60, was found dead on December 24, 2020, in her home in Glen Lyn, Virginia. The Giles County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for a wellbeing check at 206 Risley Circle around 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to make contact with the residents and entered the home, where they discovered Diane May Clyburn with a gunshot wound in one bedroom and her husband, Eric Todd Clyburn, aged 54, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in another bedroom.
