In the early morning hours of June 4, 2021, the quiet of Accomack County was broken by a call reporting an accidental shooting on Withams Road. When sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive male, Ontavious Vadelle Mapp, a 28-year-old man from the Daugherty area.
